We learned about this incredible search from Victoria Simkina, a member Search-Dnepr of Krivoy Rog. He was engaged in the soldiers exhumation.
This Febraury, locals from the Apostolovsky district reached out to Search-Dnepr. It turns out that a construction team laying the water supply came upon the remains of three German soliders. The excavator bucket had hooked upon them!

She reports via Facebook: “Two soldiers. In the pocket of one of them – nails. A carpenter? Builder? Who knows now? And half of the token was found. According to him, it was possible to determine that this Wehrmacht soldier belonged to the Imperial company of the militia battalion.”
